Ms. Macias displays empathy, warmth, and compassion as she listens and communicates with clients. Her reflective inquiries to clients demonstrate her understanding of the clients' circumstances and the struggles that the clients are experiencing. Her effective use of active listening highlights her depth of comprehension of clients' challenges, and she carefully points out her awareness of the clients' skills and competencies that the clients could possibly apply to the reduction of the current impact on the clients that the challenges are having. She also displays a keen awareness of community resources that could be employed by the clients to address their personal challenges. In the two settings we have worked together, Ms. Macias has demonstrated her ability to connect verbally and emotionally with the wide range of clients we saw in the many trauma intervention assignments, supporting extended family members following suicides, automobile collisions, residential fires, and infant deaths, as well as in her role as a co-therapist the with the clients in my therapy practice who were experiencing post-traumatic symptoms from military deployments, sexual assaults, and long-term domestic violence episodes.

I observed no challenges of any consequence in the professionalism of Ms. Macias during our work together. In contrast, I have been impressed with the manner in which Ms. Macias assertively moves in appropriate directions to support the needs of her clients.
